So I'm going to my first festival as an artist and I'm in a flurry. Every time I look at my to do list I add things to it instead of crossing them off, lol. I am so very grateful that I invested in an Epson SC-P405 pigment fine art printer, it is amazing. Its so quick and easy to produce quality archival giclee prints with hardly any effort. Of course I wouldn't be in such a flurry if it I hadn't left all my preparations to the last minute, you know what they say about best laid plans of mice and men. I've spent the last month sick in bed and haven't been able to get my prep work done for the festival, so I am trying to madly print, mat and frame my work before the festival, unfortunately its not possible to get everything done that I had initially planned, but as long as I can get there (fingers crossed) and have some prints made and business cards to hand out, all will be well. So if your in the Hunter Valley this weekend 24-26 March come on down to the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia festival. Every year it gets bigger and better. Its a lot of fun with beautiful classic cars and hot rods, music, dancing, rides for the kids and retro/nostalgia themed market stalls. There's even a prize for the best dressed but don't expect to see me in my bobby sock and poodle skirt, maybe next year, this year the goal is just to get there. If you're wondering what exactly is a nostalgia festival, check out their website: www.kurrikurrinostalgiafestival.com.au its a lot of fun and people come from all over Australia every year to be part of nostalgia. So wish me luck, and I hope to see you there.
