This beautiful South American Red-Eyed Green Tree Frog is perched on a seed pod of a plant. Sitting there carefully, you can see its insecurity as it is looking out for danger or threats all around it. Red-eyed Green tree frogs are not poisonous they rely on the colour of their skin to camouflage and blend in to their surroundings, when startled they open their eyes and the bright hue of red of their eyes is meant to startle the predator giving them precious time needed to flee.
