Original Painting

This adorable baby Opossum is just learning to climb. The subject is highlighted against the shadows in the background foliage and contrasts nicely with the foreground grasses and Wild Vetch (American wildflower). The Opossom is native to America and is known for "playing possom" (pretending to be dead) when it senses danger.
