Peek a Boo features a gorgeous Australian Jumping Spider hanging upside down from a branch. Jumping Spiders are a group of spiders that form the family Salticidae. As of 2019, this family has over 6000 species, making it the largest family of Spiders at 13% of all spider species. Jumping Spiders are most easily recognised by their eyes, they have 4 pairs of eyes with the middle pair being the largest, as such they have the best vision among all anthropods. Although they naturally move very unobtrusively and fairly slowly, most species are capable of very agile jumps, notably when hunting, but sometimes in response to sudden threats. Artist quality Pastel Pencils and Soft Pastels on Clairefontaine Pastelmat. Size is 24 x 30cm. Reference by Patrick Kavanagh. Framed and ready to hang. Framed art pictured above is for demonstration purposes only, actual frame styles and colours may vary.
